Lehlohonolo Fortune Tholo
June 27, 1993 — October 20, 2026
Lehlohonolo Fortune Tholo, known lovingly by many as "Fortune," was born on June 27, 1993, in the vibrant community of Thokoza, Gauteng. He left us far too soon on October 20, 2026, following a tragic accident. His departure from this world has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Fortune was a beacon of joy and laughter, distinguished by his quick wit and a warm smile that could brighten even the darkest of days. He was the beloved son of the late Montle Jacob Mokoena and Busisiwe Gladys Mokoena who he leaves behind. Though his father and grandmother have predeceased him, Fortune has joined them in eternal rest, leaving behind his mother Busisiwe, siblings Mpho, Lerato, Thabang and nephew Mamello
From a young age, Fortune demonstrated a passion for life that was infectious. He first attended Leratadima Primary School, then Bedford View High School, and ultimately graduated from Glen Back High School. With aspirations for a bright future, he pursued a diploma in supply chain management from the Sharp Edge Educational Institution, which he completed with determination and pride.
Professionally, Fortune dedicated his talents to the South African Container Depot in Steeldale, Johannesburg. His colleagues remember him as not only a hard worker but also as someone who brought energy and enthusiasm to every task, making the workplace a better environment for all.
Fortune's love for sports was evident during his teenage years when he became a part of the Orlando Pirates Academy. His athletic spirit was matched only by his love for social gatherings. A true "people person," he thrived on human connection, always finding joy in celebration and camaraderie. Whether at a party or on the sports field, his presence was a gift to those around him.
Despite the challenges life presented, Fortune remained steadfastly kind and generous, touching the lives of many with his welcoming nature. He believed in the power of laughter and was always ready with a joke to ease any tension.
As we say goodbye to our dear Fortune, we remember him as a bright light, a loving soul, and a cherished friend. Though his time with us was brief, the impact of his kindness and joy will be felt for generations. May he rest in peace, forever cherished and never forgotten.
