Lee Talmadge

April 22, 1967 — April 16, 2026

It is with both sorrow and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the unexpected passing of Lee Talmadge on April 16, 2026, just shy of his 59th birthday. Born on April 22, 1967, in the quaint town of Port Jervis, NY, Lee was a beacon of light and love, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to have known him. Lee was the cherished son of Benjamin and Philamenia Talmadge, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and integrity. Though preceded in death by his beloved parents and his siblings, Lee carried their spirit with him, a constant source of strength and inspiration. A self-made entrepreneur with a passion for retail, Lee's career was marked by innovation, dedication, and a genuine love for people. His extensive knowledge and keen business acumen turned every venture into a success, creating lasting relationships and experiences along the way. Lee's approach was always people-first, and he was known for his generosity and the genuine connections he formed with colleagues and clients alike. Lee's personal life was as rich and fulfilling as his professional endeavors. He shared a deep, enduring love with his partner, Joseph O'Brien, and together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. Lee's warmth extended to his cherished family, including his devoted son, James Talmadge, and his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Christian Smith. Lee’s presence was a source of comfort and joy, and his love and wisdom will forever guide them. A man of simple pleasures, Lee found immense joy in watching sunsets and listening to music, two pastimes that brought him peace and reflection. Whether it was the vibrant hues of a setting sun or the soothing notes of a favorite tune, Lee cherished these moments of beauty and serenity. Lee's best friend, Barbara Talmadge (Mesiti), shared many of these moments with him, and together they created a tapestry of memories filled with laughter, camaraderie, and mutual respect. Their friendship was a testament to the power of connection and loyalty, qualities that Lee embodied throughout his life. In keeping with Lee’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing his family and closest friends to honor his memory in an intimate setting. While Lee may no longer walk among us, his spirit, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. As we say goodbye to a remarkable man, we hold onto the lessons he imparted and the love he shared. May Lee Talmadge forever rest in peace, surrounded by the music he adored and the sunsets he so cherished.
