Lee Marshall Whitcomb

March 19, 1945 — October 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Lee Marshall Whitcomb, who left us on October 3, 2026. Born on March 19, 1945, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Lee was the cherished son of Frank M. Whitcomb and Aurore R. Nicoll. His journey through life touched many with warmth, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. Lee grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Trade, where he began to hone the skills and talents that would serve him throughout his life. At a young age, he answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the U.S. Army. From 1962 to 1965, Lee was stationed in Germany, where he proudly fulfilled his duties before receiving an honorable discharge. Upon returning home, he embarked on a long and rewarding career at General Electric, where his dedication and work ethic made him a respected colleague and a valued friend. However, it was not just his professional accomplishments that defined Lee; it was his zest for life and the joy he brought to those around him. Lee was an avid fisherman, finding peace and happiness by the water, and a passionate gardener who delighted in nurturing beauty from the soil. He was known for his quick wit and could light up any room with his humor and charm. He enjoyed playing cards and was often found at the local casino, where his laughter and good-natured spirit were contagious. Lee was predeceased by his beloved wife, Pamela A. Whitcomb, who passed away in February of 2026. Together, they created a beautiful family, and Lee's legacy lives on through his children: Craig, Leanne, Rudy, Sarah, Zonia, Jose, Jason, and Danielle. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one, each of whom carries forward his love and laughter. A service to honor Lee's life will be held on October 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery, located on Boston Street in Lynn, Massachusetts. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lee's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that was close to his heart. Lee Marshall Whitcomb's life was a testament to kindness, courage, and the enduring power of a good laugh. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
