Born on June 18, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Leatrice was a beacon of strength, love, and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Leatrice was the cherished daughter of Norma Day Amodt and Lawrence Amodt. Her life was marked by a deep devotion to her family and a love for life's simple pleasures. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tom McBroon, her son, Christopher J. Hardy, and her parents. She is survived by her devoted children, Lydia (and Dennis), Stephen, Laura, Bonnie (and Taylor), and Mary. Her legacy of love continues through her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward, cherishing the memories of her kindness and wisdom.
Leatrice graduated from South High School, a time in her life that laid the foundation for her enduring love of learning and personal growth. Her early years were filled with the joy of spending time with her treasured cats and horses, passions that fueled her spirit and brought her great happiness.
In her personal life, Leatrice was first married to Melvin C. Hardy, with whom she shared meaningful years before their paths diverged. She later found love again with Tom C. McBroon, with whom she shared a life full of love and companionship until his passing.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice of Utah for the compassionate care and support they provided Leatrice in her final days. Their kindness will forever be remembered.
