Daisy was born on January 3, 1949, in the vibrant community of the Bronx, New York, to her loving parents, Fredrick and Leah Taylor. Her journey through life was marked by a distinctive blend of strength and warmth, traits that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Daisy's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and laughter. She was a proud alumna of William H. Taft High School and furthered her education at The College of New Rochelle. Her passion for learning and nurturing others led her to dedicate 25 years to the Department of Education as a teacher and assistant. Daisy's dedication to her work was characterized by her tireless commitment to her students, her loving nature, and her unwavering work ethic. Her influence extended beyond the classroom, shaping the lives of many young minds and leaving an indelible mark on her community. Beyond her professional life, Daisy was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in drawing, which allowed her creative spirit to flourish. Her love for travel took her on adventures far and wide, expanding her understanding of the world and enriching her life with diverse experiences. Daisy was also an avid music lover, finding solace and joy in the melodies that filled her home. To those who knew her, Daisy was a force of nature, known for her no-nonsense attitude and strong personality. Yet, beneath her formidable exterior lay a heart of gold that touched everyone she met. She had an extraordinary ability to light up any room she entered, her laughter infectious, her spirit indomitable. To know Daisy was to love her, as she embraced each person with a warmth that left an everlasting impression. Daisy is survived by her three beloved children, Karen, Lisa, and Richard, who carry forward her legacy of love and resilience. Her cherished grandchildren, Donna, Alvamore (affectionately known as Poppy), and Charles, were the light of her life, bringing her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Nancy, Carolyn, and Stanley, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends whose lives she touched profoundly. As we gather to celebrate Daisy's life, her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their prayers and special thoughts during this difficult time.
