Lawrence "Larry" Cooper

Lawrence "Larry" Cooper, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 8, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with a terminal illness. Born on October 31, 1942, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Larry's life was a testament to dedication, love, and service. Larry's journey began in Holden, MA, where he was raised by his loving parents, Wilbur and Virginia Cooper. Following his graduation from high school, Larry chose to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Rhoda, Spain, until 1963. His time in the Navy instilled in him a strong sense of duty and discipline, qualities he carried throughout his life. In 1966, Larry married the love of his life, Teresa "Terry" Bellino, in a small church ceremony in New Hampshire. Their marriage of nearly six decades was filled with unwavering love, mutual respect, and cherished memories. Together, they raised two wonderful children, in Southampton, MA. Tracy Lee Fraziero and Todd Jason Cooper, who blessed them with five precious grandchildren: Chelsea, Haley, Jake, Tylar, and Jason. Larry's career as an Electronic Service Technician took him across the New England territory and later to Florida. He was renowned for his technical prowess, having the rare ability to dismantle and rebuild any machine with ease and skill. His professional journey was marked by dedication and a passion for innovation. A man of deep faith, Larry was an active member of College Church in Northampton, MA, before becoming a cherished member of the Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, FL. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him with compassion and kindness. Beyond his professional and spiritual endeavors, Larry embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed scuba diving adventures with his son, Todd. Larry was also a talented artist, crafting stunning stained glass windows, lamps, and artwork, leaving a legacy of beauty and creativity. Larry's generous heart and friendly nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was selfless, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word with both friends and strangers alike. His life was a beacon of generosity and warmth. Predeceased by his parents, his brother Richard Cooper, and his grandson Jacob "Jake" Gordon, Larry leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. His beloved wife Terry, his children and grandchildren, and a multitude of friends and loved ones will carry his spirit in their hearts. In keeping with Larry's wishes, a private memorial service will be held. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Cornerstone Hospice of The Villages, FL, for their compassionate care during Larry's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Larry's memory to organizations close to his heart. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him. Larry Cooper's life was a tapestry of love, service, and creativity. He touched many lives, and his memory will be cherished forever.
