In Loving Memory

Lawrence coleman
July 6, 1950 — June 14, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Lawrence Coleman, who left us on June 14, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 6, 1950, in the warm embrace of Blair, South Carolina, Lawrence was a beacon of love and resilience, whose spirit will forever illuminate the paths of those he touched.
Lawrence was the cherished son of Willie P. and Etoia Coleman, both of whom preceded him in passing, along with his beloved brother, Andrew Coleman. Their memories, alongside Lawrence's, will continue to guide and inspire all who remain.
In a testament to a love that spanned more than five decades, Lawrence married Nancy Coleman on July 10, 1970. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring family bonds. Lawrence's legacy is proudly carried forward by his devoted wife, Nancy; his eldest daughter, Linda Stone; his sons, Kevin and Marcus Coleman; and his daughter, Jana Coleman. His family was his pride, and his ten grandchildren will forever carry forth his gentle spirit and wisdom.
A graduate of McCorey Liston High School in Blair, SC, Lawrence's commitment to his community was unwavering. He served as a deacon at St. Matthew Baptist Church, where his faith and kindness were cornerstones of his life. His dedication extended beyond the church walls as an active member of the Community Board of Commission, where he worked tirelessly to enhance the lives of those around him.
In his retirement, Lawrence found joy and fulfillment in driving a school bus for elementary students in Blair. This hobby not only brought him happiness but also left an indelible mark on the young lives he touched with his kindness and patience.
A celebration of Lawrence's life will be held on June 23, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Matthew Baptist Church, located at 1253 Crane Church Rd, Blair, SC 29215. Family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by Lawrence's presence are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the gift of his life.
The Coleman family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. "Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or maybe sat quietly in a chair, perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as a friend could say, whatever you did to console our hearts, thank you so much, whatever the part."
As we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we take solace in knowing that Lawrence's legacy of love, faith, and community will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
