Born on January 31, 1951, in Portland, Maine, Lauris was the cherished daughter of Richard and Joyce Viles, who predeceased her. Lauris's journey through life was marked by unyielding dedication, compassion, and love. A proud graduate of Falmouth High School in 1969, Lauris made her mark in the professional world with a remarkable 40-year career at UNUM Insurance Company, where she was known for her tireless work ethic and genuine kindness. Her passion for helping others extended beyond her career. Lauris was an active and devoted member of the Sebago Fire Department, serving as an EMT for many years and even leading the department for a time. Her commitment to her community was further reflected in her enthusiastic support for several local causes, where she volunteered her time and energy to make a difference. A woman of warmth and vivacity, Lauris was outgoing and had a natural ability to connect with others. Her love for people was evident in every interaction, and her generosity of spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Lauris's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She leaves behind her beloved children, Jermey and Anna Champange, who will forever hold her memory close. Her legacy continues in her precious grandchildren, Jaden and Gabriel Champange, who brought her immense joy and pride. Lauris is also survived by her dear siblings, Richard E. Viles and Keith Viles, who will remember her fondly. As we celebrate the life of Lauris Champange, we are reminded of the profound effect she had on her community and loved ones.
