October 4, 1939 — June 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurie Goulet Semeraro, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Laurie passed away peacefully at her home, lovingly cared for by her family, on June 12, 2026. She was 86 years old. Laurie was born on October 4, 1939, in the picturesque town of Quebec, Canada, to Joseph and Marie Goulet. She was one of nine siblings and was deeply woven into the fabric of a large and loving family. Laurie was guided by the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience from a young age, traits she carried throughout her life. On December 29, 1958, Laurie married the love of her life, Rocco Semeraro, in a beautiful ceremony in Canada. Together, they built a life rooted in love and partnership for 54 incredible years. They were blessed with a family that was the center of Laurie’s world. Though Rocco predeceased her, their love story remains an enduring legacy for their family. Laurie was predeceased by her beloved husband Rocco, her parents Joseph and Marie, her daughter Michelle, granddaughters Francesca and Skyler, and great-granddaughter Brooklyn. She also reunites in peace with her siblings Octave, Alphonse (Pete), Marcel, Octavie, Lydia, and Juliette. She leaves behind a loving family that will forever cherish her memory: her devoted children, Gino, Marco and his wife Crissy, and Sylvie and her husband Albert. Laurie’s legacy continues through her grandchildren Mikah, Alec, Jesse, Sammi, Roman, and Christian, and her great-grandchildren Aurora and Grey, Jeffery and Journey, and Aidan and XXXXXXX. Each of them carries a part of Laurie’s spirit and warmth, a testament to the profound impact she had on their lives. Laurie dedicated her life to nurturing her family and supporting her community. Her home was a sanctuary where laughter and love were always in abundance. She was known for her open heart and the ability to make everyone feel valued and heard. Family gatherings were her delight, where she would often be found surrounded by her loved ones, sharing stories and creating memories. Laurie’s generosity extended beyond her family as she was a steadfast supporter of various community initiatives. In her memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Bosque Trails Hospice, an organization close to Laurie’s heart. Though Laurie has departed from this world, her spirit endures in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith in the goodness of people. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the beautiful life she lived. Until then, we hold her memory close, grateful for the time we shared with such an extraordinary woman. May she rest in eternal peace.
