Laura Rachel Taylor, née Henderson, gracefully concluded her remarkable journey on April 29, 2026, at the age of 83, enveloped in the warmth of her home. Born in the charming town of Deming, New Mexico, on September 23, 1942, Laura was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Ann Henderson, who preceded her in passing. A beacon of love and resilience, Laura's life was a vibrant tapestry of family, friendship, and community. In 1978, under the sunlit skies of Fort Worth, Texas, Laura united in marriage with Arthur "AJ" June Taylor, embarking on a journey that would inspire many. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, a testament to their union's strength and devotion. AJ, her beloved husband, predeceased her, leaving behind a legacy of shared dreams and unwavering companionship. Laura's heart was a wellspring of love, nurturing a large and close-knit family. She is mourned by her children, each of whom carries a piece of her indomitable spirit: Tammy Alexander of Plainview, TX; Troy Chamberlain and wife Michaela of Plainview, TX; Richard Taylor of Plainview, TX; Cody Coursey and wife Michelle of Leonard, TX; David Taylor and wife Victoria of Denison, TX; and Jeannie Miller of Plainview, TX. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Tara, Thomas, Daniel, Jonathan, Bret, Jessie, Ryan, Kyle, Michaela, Meagan, Ashley, Crystal, Miranda, Kendra, Tiffany, Courtney, Brittany, Grant, James, Gabe, Rocky, Angel, David, Katherine, Kimi, Tyler, and Jasmine, who fondly remember her joyous laugh and the enduring warmth of her beautiful smile. Her family tree flourishes with 46 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the vibrant life she led. Laura's life was enriched by her career at Jim’s Pizza in McKinney, TX, where she was not only a diligent worker but also a cherished friend and confidante. Her colleagues and patrons alike benefited from her compassion, patience, and kindness—qualities that defined her both in and out of the workplace. Laura was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas J. Henderson, Anna Leigh Morris, and Charla Cook, as well as her daughter LeAnna Lowry and son Jay Taylor. Her brother-in-law George “Sonny” Cornett and brother-in-law Calvin Morris also passed before her, each leaving a mark on her heart that she carried with grace. In the gentle embrace of family and the bonds of friendship, Laura found her greatest joy. Her legacy is not only in the lives she touched but in the love she fostered, which continues to grow and inspire. Her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends will forever cherish the memories of her warmth and generosity. Laura Rachel Taylor lived a life of profound love and compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and a family united in her spirit. Her memory will forever be a guiding light for those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
