Laura was the beloved daughter of Elwyn Zimmerman and Carolyn Zee. She carried the values instilled by her parents throughout her life, sharing them with everyone she met. Her infectious smile and warm personality were hallmarks of who she was, effortlessly making everyone feel welcome and valued.
A devoted wife, Laura shared a beautiful life with her spouse, Jerry Phillips-Zee. Together, they created a loving family and home that served as a beacon of love for their children: Audrey and John Kill in Arizona, Skylar and Brent Elinburg in Kansas, Ara Aiba and Adam Paull in New Zealand, David Phillips-Zee in Arizona, and Jacobey Martin Phillips-Zee in Illinois. Her nurturing spirit extended to her cherished grandchild, Bailey Kill, who held a special place in her heart.
Laura's life was rich with passion and creativity. She found joy in counted cross stitch, knitting, and puzzles, each a reflection of her patience and attention to detail. Above all, she treasured the time spent talking with her children and grandchild, always eager to share in their lives and lend her support.
Professionally, Laura was known for her dedication and hard work. Throughout her career, she touched the lives of many, being remembered not just for her professional contributions, but for the genuine care she extended to colleagues and clients alike.
An active member of the Episcopal church for many years, Laura found comfort and community within its walls. Her faith guided her actions and provided her with strength and solace throughout her life.
Laura is survived by her loving siblings, Lisa Zee and Danny Zimmerman, who will forever cherish the memories they shared. Her family and friends find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with those who have gone before her.
