Born on October 27, 1975, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Laura was the beloved daughter of Janet May Dyson and the late Robert Terry Bateman.
Laura was a beacon of light and warmth to everyone she encountered. Her smile could illuminate the darkest room, and her laughter was a melody that brought joy to many hearts. Her kindness was as boundless as her love for her family, and her strength was an anchor for those around her, especially in challenging times.
On January 5, 2013, Laura married the love of her life, Henry Correy Wilcock, and together they shared 13 wonderful years of marriage. Laura and Henry shared a love for adventure, often finding joy in fishing trips and exploring the world with their family and friends. Laura's love for her family was evident in every moment she spent with them, whether she was crafting with her grandchildren, singing along to her favorite songs, or simply enjoying the company of her loved ones.
Laura was a proud and devoted mother to her children: Samantha Pepper (Aaron Velasquez), Brennan Pistone, Johnathan Pepper, Ciara Pistone, Stephanie Higley (Shawn Higley), Aspen Pistone, Shawna Pepper, Casey Wilcock, and Jacob Wilcock. She was a guiding light for each of them, always offering encouragement and support with wisdom and warmth.
Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Desmond, Charlie, Bailey, Alexander, Sixton, Tobias, Jace, Kinsley, Wren, Owen, Easton, Mikah, and Onyx. Laura cherished every moment spent crocheting special keepsakes and creating memories with them, ensuring her love would be felt for generations to come.
Laura is also survived by her loving husband, Henry, her mother, Janet, and her many friends who were like family. She was predeceased by her father, Robert, and her dear grandson, Alexander Hudson Velasquez, whom she now joins in eternal peace.
In honoring Laura's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and the profound impact she made on those around her. As we remember Laura, we hold onto the countless beautiful memories she created, her laughter, her love, and her unyielding spirit that inspired us all.
