It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LaToya Denise White, who departed this life on July 8, 2026, at the age of 44. LaToya was born on February 22, 1982, in Dayton, Ohio, and she left this world at home, surrounded by love and peace.
LaToya was the cherished daughter of the late RC White Sr. and Earnestine White. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Donald Vinson, her grandparents Mattie and Calvin Garrett, and her grandmother Susie White. She is survived by her devoted brother Pastor RC White Jr. and his wife Alisa, her caring sister Emma Dewberry, her loving sisters Gloria Thornton and her husband Rev. Raleigh Thornton, and Audrey Younis. Her life was further enriched by her nieces Tiffany Warden and Jocelyn Hargrave, nephews Raymond Warden, Robert T. Dewberry, and Jawaan Dewberry, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
LaToya's life was shared with her special life partner of 15 years, Jamie Pugh, who stood by her side through every joy and challenge. Though she did not have children or grandchildren, LaToya's nurturing spirit and boundless affection were generously shared with her family and friends.
LaToya was a proud graduate of Jefferson High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix. Her educational journey was a testament to her dedication and relentless pursuit of knowledge.
Those who knew LaToya will forever remember her for her playful sense of humor and the warm, radiant smile that could brighten any room. Her love for cooking, singing, and playing games on her phone were just a few of the simple joys that filled her days. Her remarkable ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met left a lasting impression of kindness and genuine love. LaToya possessed a beautiful spirit and a compassionate heart, and her joyful presence made the world a better place.
A celebration of LaToya's life will be held on July 25, 2026, the visitation starts at 10:00 AM and the service at 11:00 AM and immediately following the service, at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church West, located at 1720 Linnbrook Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45406. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their prayers, thoughts, support, and the love shown to LaToya. Your kindness and compassion have been a source of comfort during this difficult time, and we are deeply grateful.
In honor of LaToya's life and legacy, the family suggests that donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, as a way of extending her spirit of giving and love.
LaToya's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her beautiful soul has left an indelible mark on this world, and she will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to call her family and friend.
