LaTorsha Shantae Hampton, a beacon of love, compassion, and resilience, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 38. Born on July 8, 1988, in Bartow, Florida, LaTorsha was a cherished daughter to Shermaine D. Jones and the late Kerry "Toby" Culpepper Sr. Her life was a testament to strength and dedication, filled with countless moments where her heart and hands worked tirelessly to care for others. Growing up in a loving family, LaTorsha was predeceased by her father, Kerry "Toby" Culpepper Sr., her stepfather Leon Turner Sr., and her beloved brother, Tobias Culpepper Sr. She is survived by her devoted mother, Shermaine Jones, and her siblings: Kerry T. Culpepper Jr., Antonio Thomas, Terrell Jones, Alexis Tabor, Carnetha Culpepper, and Shalease Brandon. Her children, Janiyah Booker, Jamariah Howard, Jamere Butler, and Jakobi White, were her greatest joy, and she found immense pride and purpose in being their mother. Alongside her immediate family, LaTorsha leaves behind a host of extended family and friends, all of whom will dearly miss her vibrant presence. LaTorsha graduated from Lake Region High School in 2007, where she laid the foundation for a fulfilling career in healthcare. Driven by a passion for helping others, she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant license in 2010 and later achieved her Licensed Practical Nurse certification in 2025. Over the past 22 years, LaTorsha dedicated herself to the medical field, bringing comfort and care to countless patients at esteemed institutions such as Tampa General Hospital and Vivo Rehab Center. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her for her unwavering kindness, professionalism, and the personal touch she brought to their lives. A service to celebrate LaTorsha's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 200 Avenue R NW., Winter Haven, FL 33881. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and honoring the remarkable life she led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to her children in LaTorsha's memory, reflecting her generous spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
