Born on September 14, 1980, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Latera was the cherished daughter of Terri Ashley and Charles Weatherly Jr. Latera was blessed with a natural charisma and an infectious sense of humor, often described as a "goofy spunk of life." Her laughter was contagious, and her presence lit up any room she entered. She was a true warrior, resilient in the face of life's toughest battles, and her strength was an inspiration to all who knew her. A proud and loving mother and grandmother, she was affectionately known as "Gigi" to her beloved grandchildren. Her family was the heart of her existence, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. Latera is survived by her devoted children, Destiny, Donavon, and Elizabeth, who were her greatest pride and joy. Her mother, Terri, continues to carry forward the love they shared. Latera's nine grandchildren will forever cherish the precious moments spent with their Gigi, and her Granny Sue remains a steadfast pillar of the family. In addition to her immediate family, Latera is remembered fondly by countless friends and relatives who were touched by her kindness and vivacity. She is reunited in peace with her father, Charles Weatherly Jr., her dear grandmother, many aunts and uncles, and her precious granddaughter, Willow Mabry, who preceded her in death. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Latera's extraordinary life.
