LaTasia "Taya" Luckey September 16, 1992 – August 22, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LaTasia Luckey, affectionately known to many as Taya, who left this world on August 22, 2026. Born on September 16, 1992, in Neptune, New Jersey, Taya was a vibrant presence whose warmth and laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Taya was the cherished daughter of Sharmyn Luckey-Levi and Hassan Scott. She was a devoted wife to Earnest Paul and a loving mother to her three beautiful children: Journei Luckey-Paul, Bishop Jasper, and Genesis Luckey. Her family was her world, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them with boundless love. Taya's educational journey began at Wall Township High School, where she graduated in 2010. Her professional path led her to become the General Manager at Sonic in Kellen, TX. She later returned to her roots in Neptune, NJ, where she excelled as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart. Taya's work ethic and dedication were further reflected in her roles at At The Table and a cab stand in Asbury Park, NJ. Taya's life was a tapestry of vibrant colors, interwoven with her love for music, her deep faith, and her joyous spirit. She found immense joy in being a mother and cherished the moments spent on the phone with her mother, Sharmyn, whom she fondly called Majestic. Their bond was inseparable, and the love they shared was a testament to the power of family. With a personality that was both funny and feisty, Taya was known for her generosity and willingness to help others. Her kindness and ability to bring laughter into any room made her a cherished friend to many. Taya's legacy of love and laughter will forever be remembered by her surviving family members: her grandparents Vivian Brown and Theodore Luckey Sr., her siblings Tyasia Conyers (David), Diamond Levi, Hashayla Scott, Rayonna Scott, Amani Parish, and Kassan Scott, Her Nephews NaeVaugn Levi-Conyers, TreVaugn Conyers, and Dedric Bluford III, and neice Zyonna Conyers, and her extended family, including her grandmothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Taya was predeceased by her great-grandparents Elsie Mae and Alex Brown, her grandmother Gloria Scott, her Uncle Gerald Bryant, and her beloved baby boy, EJ. Though Taya's life was cut short, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her family finds solace in the cherished memories they created together and the knowledge that she is now at peace. In accordance with the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Taya's life. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice. Taya, you are forever in our hearts. Your light will continue to shine brightly through the lives of all those you touched. Rest in peace, dear Taya.
