Larry Vaughn, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on June 30, 2026. Born on November 3, 1945, in Ohio, Larry was a beacon of kindness and resilience throughout his 80 years of life. Larry was the cherished son of Curtis and Francis Vaughn, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. Growing up in Ohio, Larry embraced these principles, which guided him throughout his life, shaping him into the remarkable man known and loved by many. He is now reunited in peace with his parents and his dear siblings, Roger Dale, Brenda, and Buggy, who predeceased him. Family was the cornerstone of Larry's life. He was a devoted father to Jason Vaughn, Destiny Sutton, Dylan Vaughn and his wife Brandy, and Delilah Vaughn. His love for his family was boundless and unwavering, a testament to his character and the legacy he leaves behind. Larry was also a proud grandfather to River Sutton, finding immense joy and pride in his grandchild's accomplishments and adventures. Larry's generosity of spirit extended beyond his family. He was a wellspring of support and encouragement to his community, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. His sense of humor and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind memories that will be cherished for years to come. Larry's sister, Judy Yates, and her husband Ricky, along with numerous friends and extended family, will dearly miss his presence, his wisdom, and his gentle spirit. Together, they will carry forward the love and lessons he imparted, forever holding him close in their hearts. A service to honor and celebrate Larry's life will be held on July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at 1725 Harvey Road, Charlotte Court House, VA 22923. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and pay tribute to a life well-lived, a life that touched so many in profound ways. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Larry's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing his legacy of kindness and generosity.
