Larry departed from this life on March 27, 2026, at the age of 62. He was born on October 16, 1963, in Brookhaven, a place that nurtured his values and where his journey began, guided by the loving hands of his parents, Larri J Harris and Mary B Harris.
Larry was a devoted husband to Regina Harris, with whom he shared a beautiful decade of marriage, having united in matrimony on March 14, 2016. Their love was a testament to the strength and resilience of partnership, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter.
A dedicated father, Larry cherished his children, Alexia, Larry, and ONautyca, embracing fatherhood with a warmth and wisdom that will forever resonate in their hearts. His legacy continues through them and his four cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride into his life.
Larry served his nation with honor and distinction, dedicating 21 years of his life to military service from 2002 until his retirement in 2023. His commitment to his country was paralleled by his dedication to his community. As an active member of Friendship Church of Jackson, MS, Larry's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found solace and strength within the church community, where he participated actively, contributing to the lives of many.
Though Larry was predeceased by his cherished sister and his children, Alexis, Larry, ONautyca, and Pastors Jones, their memories remained ever-present in his heart, guiding his steps and inspiring his actions.
Larry's life will be celebrated on April 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Friendship Baptism Church, located at 3200 Bailey Ave. Family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for a life well-lived.
