February 8, 1987 — June 29, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Larry Thomas, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left us far too soon on June 29, 2026, at the age of 39. Larry's life began on February 8, 1987, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. He was born to Gino Thomas-Sanders and Tonya Hamilton, who cherished him dearly and nurtured his journey through life. Larry graduated from Schaumburg High School, setting the stage for a life marked by his unique blend of sarcasm and charm, which endeared him to everyone he met. He was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the warm company of family and friends. One could often find him watching football with his dad, a cherished pastime that brought them closer together. His Friday dinners with his mom were a tradition that underscored the deep bond they shared, moments filled with laughter, stories, and love. Larry's legacy is carried forward by his loving sisters, Destinee, Desaree, Gina, and Gnya, who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is also remembered fondly by his special friend, Denise Brown, whose companionship brought him much joy. Though Larry did not have children or grandchildren, the love he shared with his family and friends leaves an indelible mark on those who knew him. Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, whose memories he cherished and whose spirits he carried with him throughout his life. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the honor of knowing him. A funeral service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on July 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Taylor Funeral Home, located at 63 E 79th Street, Chicago, IL. Family and friends are invited to join in paying their respects and sharing memories of a life that touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Larry. This gesture will honor his generous spirit and keep his memory alive. The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to everyone who has offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. They express a special message of thanks to God for the blessing of having Larry in their lives, a soul whose presence brought light and love to all who knew him.
