Larry was the cherished son of Jim and Jesse Mae Davis, who preceded him in death, along with his grandparents. Despite this loss, he carried their legacy forward, embodying their values and spirit in everything he did. A true family man, Larry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 27 years, Tammy Davis, with whom he shared a beautiful journey since their marriage on May 12, 1999. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Jason and Jamal Davis, who will forever cherish his guiding presence.
Larry was also a devoted father to his daughter, Lakeila Davis, and son, Everette Austin. His family, including his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, were the light of his life, each bringing him immense joy and pride. Larry's legacy of love and laughter will continue to shine brightly through them.
For over two decades, Larry dedicated himself to serving as the maintenance director for Indiana schools. His commitment and hard work left an indelible mark on the community, and his colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and diligence. Larry's passion for his work was only paralleled by his love for sports. An avid sports lover, he never missed a game of basketball, cheering with enthusiasm and sharing his fervor with all those around him.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Larry's life on May 14, 2026, at 10:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, located at Rect Cremations, and On-Site Crematory, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
