Larry Ray Hirth
September 15, 1953 — April 14, 2026
Covington, KY - With profound sadness and joyful remembrance, we announce the passing of our beloved Larry Ray Hirth, who peacefully departed this world on April 14, 2026, at the age of 72. Larry was born on September 15, 1953, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Albert and Dula Hirth, who instilled in him the values of kindness, resilience, and love—qualities for which he became well-known.
Larry was a proud graduate of Holmes High School, where he began to form the foundations of a life filled with learning, laughter, and the joy of community. Throughout his life, Larry's gentle smile and kind heart made him a cherished presence in the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a natural ability to connect with people, always offering a listening ear or a word of encouragement.
Larry's love of sports was a constant in his life. He spent countless hours watching football, baseball, and basketball, savoring the camaraderie and excitement that came with each game and particularly loved watching these sports with his family and friends. Music was another of his great loves, and its melodies provided a soundtrack to many cherished family moments.
Family was the cornerstone of Larry's life. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Della, and together they built a home filled with warmth and laughter. Larry was a proud father to his sons, Troy Hirth and Chad Hirth, who, along with Chad's wife, Amanda, brought him immense joy and pride. His legacy continues through his grandsons: Troy Michael Hirth (Kylie), Tyler Hirth (Payton), Matthew Hirth (Carlee), and William Hirth, and his precious great-grandson, Wesley Hirth, who brought a special new light into his life.
Larry is mourned by his siblings, who shared in the journey of life with him—his sister Charlotte Moorhead, brother Mitchell Hirth (Kathy), and sister Dolores Kroger (Kevin), all of whom held a special place in his heart. He is also fondly remembered by numerous nephews and nieces who adored their Uncle Larry.
Preceding Larry in death were his parents, Albert and Dula Hirth; his brother, Gene Hirth; and his brother-in-law, Kelly Moorehead. Though their absence was felt deeply, Larry carried their memories with him, honoring them in all he did.
Larry's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and family. As we remember him, let us carry forward his legacy by embodying these values in our own lives. His spirit will forever remain with us, alive in our memories and in the love we share.
A Visitation will be help on May 16, 2026, from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Saint Henry Catholic Church until the Mass which will begin at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Larry's memory, continuing his legacy of kindness and generosity.
Larry Ray Hirth will be dearly missed but never forgotten. His life was a beautiful journey, and his love will continue to be a guiding light in the lives of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
