Celebrating the Life of Larry Lee Brierly It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Lee Brierly, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world peacefully at his home on October 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with kidney failure. Larry was born on July 11, 1941, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, to William and Sylvia Brierly. He was a man of great strength and humility, deeply rooted in family values and cherished by all who knew him. Larry's journey through life was marked by a steadfast commitment to both his personal and professional endeavors. In July of 1964, he married the love of his life, Judy Ella Brierly. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising their cherished daughter, Ella, in the warm community of Pasadena, Maryland. Larry and Judy shared 58 wonderful years of marriage, filled with shared dreams and countless memories, until Judy's passing. Professionally, Larry was a dedicated machinist at Northrop Grumman, where he worked tirelessly for many years. His commitment to his craft was admired by colleagues and friends alike, and his work ethic was a testament to his character and determination. Beyond his career, Larry was a man of intellect and curiosity, with a profound love for reading. Books were his companions, and through them, he traveled to far-off places and explored new worlds. This passion for literature was something he shared with his family. Larry's life was a tapestry woven with love, joy, and resilience. He was predeceased by both of his parents, William and Sylvia, as well as his devoted wife, Judy. He is survived by his loving daughter, Ella Brierly, and his three grandchildren, Jerry W. Menter, John A Menter Jr and Kayla G. Menter, who will forever carry forward his legacy of kindness and integrity. As we celebrate Larry's life, we remember the warmth of his smile, the strength of his spirit, and the gentleness of his heart. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in his memory to the American Kidney Fund, honoring his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Larry Lee Brierly will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Judy, and watch over his family with love and pride.
