Born on May 1, 1947, in Madison, Tennessee, Larry's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and a profound love for family and community. The beloved son of W.L. 'Dick' and Doris Christean 'Chris' Hawkins, Larry was the embodiment of warmth and humor, traits he carried throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew, Micheal Lee Minick, whose memories he cherished dearly. Larry's journey through life was marked by dedication and service. After graduating from Hendersonville High School, he honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, a commitment that spoke volumes of his devotion to his country. He later channeled his skills and passion into Hawkins's Brother's Contractors, a business he not only worked for but eventually owned, exemplifying his entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic. Larry was not just a respected businessman but an avid horseman, hunter, farmer, and livestock owner. His love for the land and animals was only rivaled by his passion for music, which he enthusiastically shared with everyone around him. Whether listening or participating, music was a vital part of Larry's life, connecting him to others and bringing joy to those fortunate enough to experience it with him. Surrounded by a loving family, Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Robyn D. Hawkins, who was his steadfast companion and greatest support. His sisters, Doris Lynn Hawkins-Tweed (Arch) of Lebanon and Theresa Ann 'Susie' Balentine (David) of Portland, mourn the loss of a brother whose quick wit and warm smile could brighten any room. Larry's nieces, Kristel L 'Krissie' Minick and Jobeth Stewart (Tatum), and his nephew, Jake Balentine (Timmi), will fondly remember the uncle who was always ready with a joke and a warm embrace. Larry's kindness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Known for making everyone feel welcome and valued, his legacy of compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
