In loving memory of Larry E Jacobs, who peacefully departed this world on June 10, 2026, surrounded by the comforting presence of his cherished family. Born on October 8, 1948, in the serene landscapes of Nebraska, Larry was a beacon of kindness and resilience—a man whose life was a testament to the simple yet profound joys that the world has to offer.
Larry was the beloved son of the late Loren W Jacobs and Arleta R Jacobs, who instilled in him values of integrity and warmth that he carried throughout his life. Though he has now joined them in eternal rest, his legacy continues to flourish in the hearts of those who survive him.
On July 1, 1970, in Holton, Kansas, Larry married the love of his life, Cheryl Harris. Together, they embarked on a journey marked by unwavering love and devotion, celebrating 55 years of marriage that were filled with shared dreams and beautiful memories. Cheryl was not only his partner but his confidante and best friend, and their bond served as an inspiring testament to the power of love.
Larry was blessed with a loving family that he cherished deeply. His daughters, Stacy Hook, married to Dennis, and Tracy McAuley, married to Anthony, were his pride and joy. He adored his grandchildren, Jacob Hook and spouse Alix, Caitlin Hays and spouse Justin, Miranda Hook, Hunter Parks, Beau Parks, and Chase Parks, and he took immense delight in his great-grandchildren, Zephora Hays, Jazalee Hays, and Lilliana Hook, whose laughter and innocence brought him boundless joy.
A man of humble beginnings, Larry graduated from Everest High School and went on to dedicate his professional life to working in various factories, including IBP, Modine, and Cargill. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he was respected for his commitment and integrity.
Larry found immense pleasure in the simple things—tending to his vegetable garden and yard, where he found peace and purpose, and crafting beautiful wooden creations for his friends and family. His hands, gentle yet strong, transformed raw materials into works of art that will forever be cherished by those who received them.
Family was the cornerstone of Larry's life. He shared a special bond with his siblings: brother Loren (Jake) Jacobs and wife Vicki, brother Terry Jacobs, sister Sharon Hargrove and husband Danny, and sister Patricia Presley and husband James. Their shared memories and unwavering support were a source of strength for Larry throughout his life.
Larry's life will be privately celebrated in a ceremony attended by those closest to him, honoring his wishes for a peaceful and intimate farewell. As his family gathers to remember him, they will celebrate a life lived with grace, humility, and love.
Though Larry E Jacobs has departed from this world, his spirit and the values he imparted upon those who knew him will continue to thrive. His legacy is not only in the tangible creations he left behind but in the kindness, love, and simple joys he shared with all who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, his memory forever cherished.
