Larry DuVal, a cherished resident of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, at Oakmont of Fresno, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family and friends. Born on March 8, 1952, in Fresno, California, Larry was the beloved son of John and Anna DuVal. Larry led a life marked by dedication, service, and love. He proudly served his country in the US Army, a period of his life that instilled in him values of discipline and commitment. After his military service, Larry devoted over 40 years to his career as a mechanic, where his hard work and expertise left an indelible mark on his colleagues and clients alike. Larry was known for his unwavering dedication to his craft, and his work ethic was admired by all who knew him. Outside of his professional life, Larry was a passionate fisherman, finding solace and joy in the tranquility of the water. His love for fishing was matched only by his devotion to his faith as an active member of the Fresno Temple Church of God & Christ, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment. Larry's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the lessons and love he imparted to them. He is remembered fondly by his children and close friends, who were fortunate to have shared in his life. Predeceased by his brother, sister, children, and grandchildren, Larry is now reunited with them in eternal peace. A private funeral ceremony will be held on July 28, 2026, at 9:30 AM. As we honor Larry's life, his family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory. Larry DuVal's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and community. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him.
