It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Donald King, a beloved husband, father, and cherished friend, who departed this world peacefully in his sleep on April 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on August 30, 1954, in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas, Larry spent his life enriching the lives of those around him with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family and community. Larry was the cherished son of the late Leroy and Lue Jessie King, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. He is predeceased by his parents and his dear brother, Tony King, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them. Larry was a man of quiet strength and enduring love, qualities that shone brightly in his 21-year marriage to his devoted wife, Fannie King. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless treasured moments. Larry was the proud father of six children, each of whom he adored deeply: Rochelle King, Courtney Don King, Nicholas King, Nicole King, Adrian King, and Somer King. His legacy of love continues through his seven cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. A dedicated and hardworking individual, Larry contributed over eight years of service to the city of Dallas. His commitment to his work was matched only by his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Larry's presence in the community was a testament to his character; he was a man who believed in the power of kindness and the importance of giving back. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Larry's life and honor his memory at a service on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
