Larry Dean Coci
December 19, 1944 — September 11, 2026
Larry Dean Coci, born on December 19, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. His gentle presence and warm heart left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Larry was the cherished son of Albert and Dorothy (Stevens) Coci. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and Arnold Coci, his sister, Lia Barhite, and his stepdaughter, Shannon Tabb. His memory will be lovingly carried forward by his devoted wife of 33 years, Nancy, his sons Raymond and Thomas Coci, his stepson Matthew (Jenny) Tabb, his sisters, Donna (Kenny) Hitcher and Doris (Guy) Schafer and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud grandfather to Justin (Rachel) Coci, Carolyne Coci, Chelsea Tabb, and Gunner (Ashley) Tabb, and a doting great-grandfather to Lacy, Drew and Ophelia. His loyal dog, Pepper, will miss him dearly.
Larry met Nancy, the love of his life, on May 8, 1988, and they were married on May 1, 1993. Together, they enjoyed 38 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Their favorite travels took them to Florida and Myrtle Beach, along with many weekend trips around Ohio and Michigan.
A graduate of Macomber High School in 1962, Larry pursued an apprenticeship in glass and mold making. He held numerous positions throughout his career and ultimately retired from Stanley Machining in 2010. Larry was known for his exceptional handyman skills and inventive spirit, always finding ways to simplify tasks.
Larry had a passion for stargazing, puzzles, and word searches, but what he cherished most was spending time with his family and playing with Pepper. His kindness, easygoing nature, and unwavering dedication to his family marked him as a truly good man—a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and sibling.
His family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Majestic Care of Toledo for their compassionate care during Larry's final days.
A celebration of Larry's life will take place on October 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Odd Fellows Lodge #467, located at 8128 Summerfield Rd., Lambertville, MI 48144.
