Daughter to the late Lucinda Brooks and Eugene Holloway, LaRhonda was raised in a home filled with love and laughter. Her parents instilled in her a sense of compassion and community that would guide her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her cherished parents, her beloved son Harris McKinney, and her dear brother Marcel Holloway. Despite these profound losses, LaRhonda continued to radiate strength and kindness, ever the beacon of comfort to those around her. LaRhonda found a lifelong partner in Gary McKinney, with whom she shared many years of joy, love, and companionship. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, raising their daughter, Chelsea McKinney, with love and dedication. LaRhonda's legacy extends through her daughter and her two grandchildren, who will forever carry forward her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness. A proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, LaRhonda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health in 2000. She was passionate about her work, driven by a desire to improve the lives of those in her community. Her career was marked by her commitment to public health and her unwavering determination to make a difference. LaRhonda's generous heart extended beyond her professional life. She spent countless hours volunteering to prepare meals for the homeless, always eager to lend a helping hand and a warm smile to those in need. Her love for tending to her vegetable garden was more than a hobby; it was a testament to her nurturing spirit and her appreciation for the simple joys in life. Known for making everyone feel welcomed with her infectious smile and quick wit, LaRhonda had an unparalleled ability to lift spirits and create a sense of belonging. Her home was a sanctuary, filled with laughter, warmth, and love—a reflection of the life she led and the love she shared so freely. In honoring her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate LaRhonda's remarkable journey.
