In Loving Memory

Lamorris Blanton
September 4, 1955 — March 15, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lamorris Blanton, a beloved husband, father, and friend to many, who departed from this world on March 15, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on September 4, 1955, in the close-knit community of Terrell, Texas, Lamorris was a beacon of warmth and kindness, whose life was a testament to faith, love, and service.
Lamorris was the cherished son of Morris and Maye Frances Blanton (née Mingo). From a young age, he exhibited a gentle spirit and an unwavering commitment to family, qualities that remained with him throughout his life. Though his mother, Maye Frances, and siblings, Patricia Blanton-Romo and Lorenzo Blanton, have preceded him in death, the bond of family remained a central pillar in his life. Lamorris' father, Morris Blanton, survives him and takes comfort in the legacy his son leaves behind.
In 1981, Lamorris married the love of his life, Brenda Lee Blanton (née Allen). Together, they built a life grounded in faith and mutual respect. Their shared journey was a testament to partnership and devotion, marked by the love they extended to their community and to each other.
Lamorris and Brenda were active members of the Jesus Revival Center in Terrell, Texas, for the last four years of his life. Through their membership, they found a spiritual family and a place where Lamorris' generous heart could flourish. His presence was a source of strength and inspiration, and his dedication to his faith was evident to all who knew him.
Though Lamorris did not have grandchildren, his role as a mentor and friend to the younger generations within his community was immeasurable. His wisdom and gentle guidance left lasting impressions on countless lives, and his absence will be deeply felt.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Lamorris Blanton will be held on March 30, 2026, at 2:07 PM at the Faith of Deliverance Church of Holiness, located at 16150 State Highway 205, Terrell, Texas 75160. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Lamorris are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was a testament to love and faith.
As we remember Lamorris, let us carry forward the lessons he imparted through his actions: to live with kindness, to walk in faith, and to cherish the bonds of family and friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jesus Revival Center, in honor of Lamorris' enduring legacy of faith and service.
Lamorris Blanton's life was a melody of compassion and grace, and though he has left this world, his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
