Lalita Patel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Lalita Patel on June 29, 2026. Born on November 3, 1940, in India, Lalita was a beacon of warmth and compassion to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the beauty of love, patience, and generosity. Lalita was predeceased by her devoted husband, Amritlal G Patel, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they built a family and a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. She is survived by her children, who were the pride and joy of her life: Vina and Kiran Ambheti of Florida, Jyoti Patel of New Braunfels, Indira and Robert Thomas of San Antonio, Ila and Claude Porterie of New Braunfels, and Ashok Patel, also of New Braunfels, Texas. Each of them carries forward her spirit of kindness and dedication. Lalita was the cherished grandmother of four wonderful grandchildren: Anil Patel, Preston and Ashton Porterie, and Mina Davidson. She adored them with all her heart, and her legacy of love will undoubtedly continue through them. Throughout her life, Lalita found immense joy in the simple pleasures of tending to her plants and flowers, nurturing them with the same love and care she bestowed upon her family. Her garden was a reflection of her soul—vibrant, nurturing, and full of life. Walking amidst nature was one of her favorite pastimes, allowing her to find peace and contentment in the world around her. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Lalita's life. Lalita Patel's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility she so loved in life.
