It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lalita Patel, who departed this world on June 29, 2026. She left us peacefully at home, enveloped in the love and presence of her cherished family, marking the end of a remarkable journey of 85 years.
Born on November 3, 1940, in India, Lalita was the treasured daughter of Ambulal and Laxmi Patel. Her life was a testament to resilience, grace, and an unwavering devotion to family—a legacy she carried with her from her birthplace to her new home, where she built a life filled with love and dedication.
Lalita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Amritlal G. Patel, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership, grounded in love and mutual respect. Together, they created a loving home and family that was her pride and joy.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her devoted children: Vina Ambheti ( Kiran Ambheti)of Florida, Jyoti Patel of New Braunfels, Indira Patel Thomas (Robert Thomas)of San Antonio, Ila Patel-Porterie ( Claude Porterie)of New Braunfels, and Ashok Patel of New Braunfels. Her nurturing spirit and wisdom continue to live on through her four grandchildren, Anil Patel of Austin, Preston and Ashton Porterie of New Braunfels, and Mina Davidson of San Antonio. Lalita's legacy further extends to her beloved great-grandchild, Aries Silva, who brought immense joy to her later years.
The Patel family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice and the many caregivers who provided exceptional care and compassion to Lalita during her final days. Their kindness and support were a source of comfort and peace.
In keeping with Lalita’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her legacy.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
