In Loving Memory
Lala Keyanna Millner
April 11, 2010 — April 19, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Lala Keyanna Millner, who departed this world peacefully at home on April 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with a chronic illness. Born on April 11, 2010, in Eden, North Carolina, Lala was the cherished canine daughter of Alona and Ricardo Moss. Her steadfast loyalty and unwavering spirit were a testament to the love she gave and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
Lala was the light of our lives and a treasured member of our family. She was recently preceded in death by her dear grandmother, Louise Moyer, and a host of siblings and family, whom we believe she has joyfully reunited with beyond the Rainbow Bridge.
A proud graduate of the PetSmart Puppy Academy, Lala excelled in her training, finishing at the top of her class. Her years of dedicated service as a guard dog to her family were marked by acts of bravery and valor. Lala was awarded the Puppy Purple Heart and a Medal of Valor for her courageous encounter with a protective mama deer, an incident that left her injured but undaunted in her duty to protect her grandmother’s home.
Her faith was as strong as her spirit, as she remained an active member of the Bedside Baptist Church, where she was dedicated and attended often, sharing her presence and warmth with her community.
In her more youthful days, Lala was an avid fetcher, finding immense joy in the simple act of chasing after a ball or stick. In recent years, she found solace and contentment in the quiet moments spent with her human sisters, Christianna and Faith, who lavished her with belly rubs and treats. These moments of connection were a source of great happiness for Lala, and she reciprocated with boundless affection.
Lala’s personality was as vibrant as it was feisty. She left no noise unbarked at, sniffing over 10,000 trees in her lifetime and leaving miles of markings during her walks. Her fiery conversations with neighborhood dogs and squirrels were legendary, as was her ability to make her presence known.
A private funeral service will be held at the home of her human father on April 19, 2026, at 9:00 am. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of condolences and well wishes during this time of sorrow. Special thanks to Penn Rivers Funeral Services LLC for their compassionate assistance in making the arrangements.
In this time of mourning, let us not dwell in sorrow but rejoice, for Lala’s spirit is whole again. Her loud barks echo across the heavens, where she has joined all good dogs in eternal peace. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and joy she brought into our lives.
