With heavy hearts, we honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Lakeesha Marie Allums, who passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2026. Born on June 21, 1976, in Compton, California, Lakeesha was a beacon of joy and warmth, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that touched everyone she met.
Lakeesha was the cherished daughter of Lavaughn Crawford and Keefe Allums, who have both predeceased her. Despite this profound loss, Lakeesha carried forward the legacy of her parents, instilling the same values of love, kindness, and resilience in her own family. Her three children, Keeshai Green, Khalif Peebles, and Mellonie Peebles, were her pride and joy, and she devoted her life to nurturing and supporting them. She was also the proud grandmother to her beloved grandchild, Atlantis Rashad, whose presence brought her immense happiness and fulfillment.
A proud graduate of Centennial High School, Lakeesha pursued a career that reflected her nurturing spirit and desire to help others. For 25 years, she worked as a dedicated nurse, providing care and comfort to countless individuals. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her for her beautiful smile, warm personality, and unwavering compassion.
Lakeesha's life was filled with joy and adventure, as she cherished spending time with her family, traveling, and creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her home was always filled with laughter and love, and she had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel welcome and valued.
Her nurturing personality extended beyond her professional life, as she was known for hosting gatherings that brought people together, where stories were shared, and bonds were strengthened. Lakeesha's ability to light up a room with her presence will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
In honoring Lakeesha's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and to say goodbye. While we mourn the loss of Lakeesha, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
Her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will continue to live on in her children, grandchild, and all those whose lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will remain a guiding light in our lives. We take comfort in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her parents, watching over us with her radiant smile.
Rest in peace, Lakeesha Marie Allums. You will be forever loved and never forgotten.
