Ladyne (Deanie)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ladyne (Deanie) Millican, a cherished soul who graced this world with her warmth and kindness for nearly 89 years. Born on October 1, 1937, in the quaint town of Monterey, Indiana, Deanie was the beloved daughter of Hope and Theodore Reinholt. Deanie departed from this life on August 12, 2026, after a short illness, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Her journey through life was marked by unwavering devotion to her family and a deep appreciation for the beauty that surrounded her. In 1957, Deanie embarked on a new chapter when she married David Bigley, and together they made a home at Bigley's orchard in Culver Indiana. In 1977 she moved to the serene setting of Lake Jackson, nestled in Jackson, Georgia. There, she found immense joy in nurturing the wildlife and cultivating flourishing gardens, often expressing her gratitude for the privilege of dwelling in such a breathtaking place. Her gentle spirit and love for nature brought a sense of peace and tranquility to all who knew her. Deanie is survived by her loving children, Tery, Tom, and Tim, who carry forward her legacy of compassion and resilience. Her spirit continues to shine brightly through her grandchildren: Amber, Amy, Zane, Shane, Thad, Laken, and Jacob, as well as her great-grandchildren: Ariyah, Jax, and Phoenix. Though she has left this earthly realm, the bonds she forged remain unbreakable, eternally etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her dear grandchildren, Amber and Amy, who have undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in the afterlife. Deanie will be remembered for her boundless love and the simple joys she found in life. Her legacy is one of kindness, gratitude, and an enduring love for the natural world. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Deanie's name to a charity that supports wildlife conservation or horticultural projects, causes that were close to her heart. May Ladyne's soul find eternal peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing to all who knew her.
