It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the sudden passing of Lacedrick Tyrone Lucas, affectionately known to many as "Sed," on June 8, 2026. He was 45 years old. Sed was born on April 12, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, and from that day forward, he brought light and joy to every life he touched. Sed was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, whose presence was a blessing to all who knew him. He spent his early years in Hillsboro, Texas, where he graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1999. Soon after, he began his long and dedicated career at Walmart, a place where he not only worked but also built lasting friendships and touched the lives of many. In 2009, Sed married the love of his life, Valerie, and together they celebrated 17 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story is a testament to commitment and partnership, and together they raised three beautiful children: Omarion, Lacedrick, and Chanal. Sed was a devoted father who loved his children deeply, and he cherished every moment spent with his family, whether it was watching sports, taking family trips, or simply enjoying the everyday joys of life. Sed is remembered by his family and friends for his beautiful smile and sweet personality. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, never meeting a stranger, and his warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He loved watching basketball, football, and track, and he was passionate about working out and taking care of his home. Sed's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the importance of family. He is survived by his loving wife Valerie; his cherished children, Omarion, Lacedrick, and Chanal; his siblings, Tamika Lucas, Antonio Lucas, and Shameka Lucas; and his father, Ricki Davis. Sed is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Doretha Lucas, whose memory he always held dear. A celebration of Sed's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Gabriel’s Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 393 IH35, Georgetown, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life that was full of love, laughter, and warmth. In this time of sorrow, the family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. As they remember Sed, they wish to share a special message: "To an amazing father and husband, we love you now and forever." Sed's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he left behind. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
