In Loving Memory

Lacedrick Lucas
April 12, 1981 — June 8, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Lacedrick Lucas, who departed this world on June 8, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on April 12, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, Lacedrick was a beacon of warmth and kindness whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and community.
Lacedrick was the cherished son of the late Doretha Lucas and Ricki Davis. His mother’s nurturing spirit was a guiding force in his life, and her passing left a void that Lacedrick filled with his own compassion and love for his family.
Raised in Hillsboro, Texas, Lacedrick graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1999. His education there laid the foundation for a life marked by hard work and resilience. For 21 devoted years, Lacedrick worked at Walmart in the Tire Lube Express department, where he was known not just for his tireless work ethic, but for his genuine smile and the kindness he extended to colleagues and customers alike.
On February 5, 2009, Lacedrick married the love of his life, Valerie, in a heartfelt ceremony in Georgetown, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, and Lacedrick took immense pride in being a devoted husband and father to their three wonderful children: Omarion, Chanal, and Lacedrick Jr. His family was his greatest joy, and he dedicated himself to providing them with a life full of love and opportunity.
Lacedrick had a passion for sports that was infectious. He was an avid fan of basketball, track, and football, with a particular allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys—a team he supported with unwavering loyalty. Whether watching a game at home or attending in person, Lacedrick's enthusiasm was a joy to behold, and he had a knack for bringing people together with his spirited commentary and camaraderie.
A celebration of Lacedrick’s life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Gabriel's Funeral and Crematory, located at 393 IH 35, Georgetown, Texas 78628. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a life well-lived and to share in the memories of a man who touched so many with his kindness and generosity.
Valerie, Omarion, Chanal, and Lacedrick Jr. extend their deepest gratitude to all who have reached out with phone calls, texts, and prayers. Your support during this difficult time has been a source of comfort. They ask that you continue to hold them close in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead.
Lacedrick Lucas leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. His spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say goodbye, we remember him not with sadness, but with gratitude for the moments shared and the love he brought into our lives.
May he rest in eternal peace.
