Her journey began in Orlando, Florida, where she was born on December 12, 1945, to the late Bishop Roosevelt Hestle Sr and Ella B. Hestle. La Francis passed peacefully at home, surrounded by love and warmth, a testament to the serene and graceful life she led.
La Francis was a proud graduate of Florida A & M University, class of 1968, where she majored in Pharmacology. Her career as a pharmacist was marked by her dedication and a deep commitment to mentoring those around her. She was a beacon of knowledge and compassion, touching the lives of countless individuals with her wisdom and guidance.
A woman of elegance and grace, La Francis was renowned for her impeccable style and gentle spirit. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a God-fearing woman whose presence inspired those around her, encouraging them to pursue dreams and embrace their potential. To be in her presence was to feel uplifted and cherished.
La Francis was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bishop Roosevelt Hestle Sr and Ella B. Hestle, as well as her siblings, Roosevelt Hestle Jr, Regina Graham, and Dorothy Oldom. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her cherished daughter, LaRoya Hestle, and her three precious grandchildren. Her siblings, Margorie Taylor, Alfred Hestle Sr and his wife Emily, Alfreida Hestle-Carswell, Herbert Hestle, and her devoted niece, Dorothetta Brown-Franklin, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
La Francis's dearest friend Betty Brown, along with many others, stood steadfastly by her side, providing comfort and companionship. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Betty and niece Dorothetta for their unwavering care and support during La Francis's final days. Your love and dedication have been a tremendous blessing, and words cannot fully convey our appreciation.
A celebration of La Francis's remarkable life will take place on June 6, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible impact she left on all who knew her.
