It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kyle Dooley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on July 10, 1976, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Kyle's journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and dedication to those he cherished. Kyle was the cherished son of Susie and Albert Dooley, who predeceased him, along with his dear sisters, Doris Hicks and Natasha Parram. He is survived by his devoted wife, Felicia Dooley, who was his lifelong partner and confidante. Together, they nurtured a loving family, including their children Kylen and Kylish Dooley, who were the center of his universe. A proud and doting grandfather, Kyle's life was enriched by his three grandchildren: Ameren, Jymeria, and Kyla Dooley. The joy and laughter that filled their time together will forever remain a testament to Kyle's enduring love for his family. Kyle's life was a tapestry woven with diverse experiences and achievements. A graduate of Lincoln Senior High School in East St. Louis, he pursued higher education at the University of Missouri. His sense of duty and honor led him to serve in the United States Navy from 1998 to 2006, a period marked by dedication and pride. After his honorable service, Kyle embarked on a fulfilling career with General Motors, where he worked from 2006 until his passing. His colleagues remember him not only for his strong work ethic but also for his quick wit and warm smile, which made the workplace feel like a second home. Kyle was an active member of Ira Grove Freewill Baptist Church in East St. Louis, where his faith and sense of community found a natural home. Whether he was taking his grandchildren to school, enjoying a peaceful day of fishing, or perfecting his bowling game, Kyle's presence was a source of joy and inspiration. Known for his kindness and generosity, Kyle had an unmatched ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. His jokes and laughter lightened many hearts and made the world a better place for all who knew him. A service to celebrate Kyle's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Ira Grove Freewill Baptist Church, located at 1701 Belmont Ave, East St. Louis, IL 62205. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
