Kyle Dooley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 1, 2026. Born on July 18, 1976, in East St. Louis, IL, Kyle lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. He was the cherished son of the late Susie and Albert Dooley, and he carried forward their legacy of kindness and strength. Kyle was a proud graduate of Lincoln Senior High School in East St. Louis, class of 1996. His passion for justice led him to the University of St. Louis, where he pursued studies in Criminal Justice for two years. His sense of duty and patriotism called him to serve in the United States Navy from 2000 to 2008, where he dedicated himself to protecting and serving his country. Following his honorable service, Kyle found his professional home at General Motors as a machine operator. From 2008 until his passing, he worked diligently, contributing to his community through his expertise and work ethic. In 2012, Kyle married the love of his life, Jeanette Dooley, in a beautiful ceremony in East St. Louis. Together, they built a loving family, raising two wonderful children, Kylen and Kyla Dooley. Kyle's legacy continues through them and his three adored grandchildren, Jontay, Kylesh, and Kylysh Dooley. He cherished every moment spent with his family, finding immense joy in their laughter and accomplishments. Kyle was a man of many interests. His love for bowling and fishing provided him with relaxation and joy, and he could often be found enjoying these activities with friends and family. He was an active member of the Ira Grove Freewill Baptist Church, where he found a spiritual home and community. His faith guided him throughout his life, providing solace and strength in times of need. Kyle is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette, his children Kylen and Kyla, and his grandchildren. He leaves behind a large and loving family, including six sisters and six brothers, who will miss his warmth and wisdom. He is predeceased by his parents, Susie and Albert, his grandparents, Mattie and Maine Connors, and his siblings, Doris Hicks, Natasha Parram, and Charles Dooley. A celebration of Kyle's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Ira Grove Freewill Baptist Church, located at 1701 Belmont Ave, East St. Louis, IL. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in remembrance of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kyle's memory to a charity of your choice. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
