With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kyle Daniel Grant, a beloved son, brother, and partner, who left us too soon on May 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with mental illness. Born on July 22, 2002, in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Kyle was a cherished soul, known for his kindness, creativity, and passion for life.
Kyle was the beloved son of Catherine Macaleese and Jamie Grant, who remember him as a beacon of light and inspiration. He was a devoted brother to Jenna and Keera Grant, offering them love, laughter, and unwavering support. He leaves behind his loving partner, Braden, with whom he shared three beautiful years filled with love and companionship.
Kyle was a proud graduate of Northeast Kings Education Center, Class of 2020. He was an avid young man with a deep love for animals, art, and music, which filled his life with joy and creativity. His artistic spirit and gentle nature were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he was actively seeking employment, his true vocation was found in the beauty he created and the joy he shared with others.
Despite the challenges he faced, Kyle's strength and resilience were a testament to his character. His battle with mental illness was met with courage and determination, and his memory will forever remind us of the importance of compassion and understanding.
A service to honor and celebrate Kyle's life will be held on May 25, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 10 Main Street, Amherst, Nova Scotia. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, love, and support in this time of mourning.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the paramedics and nurses at Valley Regional Hospital for their valiant efforts to resuscitate Kyle. Their dedication and compassion during such a difficult time will always be remembered.
Kyle's warmth, creativity, and love will linger in the hearts of all who knew him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the beautiful moments he shared with us and the indelible impact he left on our lives. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
