In Loving Memory

KWAKU YAW
August 12, 1983 — November 10, 2024
In loving memory of Kwaku Yaw, who left this world on November 10, 2024, we gather to celebrate a life filled with compassion, dedication, and love. Born on August 12, 1983, in Accra, Ghana, Kwaku was a beacon of kindness and humility to all who knew him. He was the cherished son of Yaa Adepa and Kofi Gyan.
Kwaku was a devoted husband to his beloved Afia Hannah, with whom he shared a beautiful journey since their marriage in Accra in 2000. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished family moments. Kwaku's legacy continues through his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were all recipients of his boundless love and wisdom.
A man of intellect and dedication, Kwaku pursued his education with vigor, earning a Master's degree in Medicine from the University of Legon. As a respected pharmacist, he dedicated 15 years of his life to serving the community through his work at Yaw & Co. Pharmacy. His patients and colleagues alike admired him for his professionalism and empathetic nature.
Beyond his professional life, Kwaku was known for his love of sports, particularly football and basketball. He found joy in these activities and in the camaraderie they fostered. Those who played alongside him remember his sportsmanship and the joy he brought to the game.
Kwaku's personal qualities were as remarkable as his professional accomplishments. His compassion and humble spirit touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a man who lived by the principle of kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
A service to honor Kwaku's life will be held at St. Mary's Church in Accra, beginning at 8:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Kwaku's own generous spirit and his desire to make the world a better place.
As we remember Kwaku Yaw, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, inspiring us to live with the same compassion and kindness that he so effortlessly shared.
