April 12, 1966 — June 30, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kristin Suzanne Milliron, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Kristin departed this world on June 30, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on April 12, 1966, in Kansas City, Missouri, Kris was a beacon of joy and compassion throughout her 60 years of life.
Kris was the beloved daughter of Karen (Jordan) Kaul and the late Fred Kaul, and she was blessed with a bonus-mother, BJ Kaul, who enriched her life with warmth and wisdom. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Greg Milliron, with whom she shared an extraordinary love story filled with adventure and laughter. Together, they built a life of love and cherished memories, raising two children, Lucas Milliron and Kelsea (Jake) Dillon, and their bonus son, Jason Milliron.
Kris was a proud and doting grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren: Caleb and Gunner Milliron, and Kaleesi Dillon. Her heart overflowed with love for her family, and she embraced every opportunity to support them in their endeavors, whether attending their activities or spending cherished moments together during weekly dinners and family vacations.
A graduate of Webster Groves High School in 1984, Kris pursued higher education at Northeast Missouri State University, earning her Bachelor's Degree in 1989. She dedicated 34 years of her professional life to serving others at the Marshall Habilitation Center and Northwest Community Services in Marshall and Higginsville, where she retired as a Unit Director in 2021. Her compassion and dedication to helping others were further exemplified through her roles as a Professional Manager for Aiming Higher and a Tour Guide for Warm Springs Ranch after retirement.
Kris was deeply committed to her community, actively participating in various organizations such as the Saline Animal League, Saline County Holiday Project, Hundred Acre Woods Therapeutic Riding Center, and Marshall Homeless Services. Her passion for service was evident in her coordination of an employee volunteer program and the founding of Marshall RISE, both of which showcased her unwavering dedication to creating a better world, even amid the challenges of the 2020 pandemic.
An adventurer at heart, Kris sought thrills and embraced life's spontaneity with open arms. Her travels took her across the globe, and she was known for her daring spirit, whether she was bungee jumping, caving, white-water rafting, or sky diving. Her children fondly recall the 'proof of life' photos she sent during her solo adventures, capturing her zest for life and her infectious smile.
Kris's love for animals was boundless, and she instilled this passion in her family. She fostered numerous litters of kittens and dogs and was a proud fur mom to countless animals, welcoming them into the loving embrace of the Milliron home.
Kris was known for her caring and empathetic nature, always offering a listening ear and a warm smile. Her commitment to human and animal rights was unwavering, as she participated in numerous protests and rallies advocating for equality and justice for all. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of compassion and love.
With a sense of humor and a free spirit, Kris brought laughter and joy to those around her, making people smile with her wit and playful antics. Her laughter and warmth will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kris's life was a testament to love, kindness, and adventure. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who were touched by her presence. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the incredible life she led and the indelible mark she left on the world.
A memorial service to honor Kris's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to the Saline Animal League or a charity of your choice that reflects Kris's passions and values.
