Kristie Vonee Harris, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, was born on September 22, 1982, in Hope, Arkansas. She passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones, enveloped by warmth and love. Kristie was the cherished daughter of Gwendolyn Harris and the late Freddie Hamilton. Her father, along with her grandparents, Rev. J.N. Harris and Mrs. Annie Boozer Harris, her brother Darrian, and her special cousin Torron Haney, predeceased her. She leaves behind her devoted mother, Gwendolyn Harris of Nashville, brothers Eric (Jennifer) Elliott of Nashville, AR, and Cory Hendrix of Texarkana, as well as Detron Haney of Oklahoma. Her special Aunt Patricia Haney of Nashville, Mary Hill of Jefferson, and Jacqueline Velcoff of Mississippi, along with her uncles Jerry Harris of Mineral Springs and Eddie Harris of Nashville, will miss her dearly. Kristie was also loved by a host of cousins and friends who will forever cherish her memory. A graduate of Nashville High School, class of 2001, Kristie's bright spirit and joyful laughter were a constant light to those around her. She was known for her beautiful, contagious smile that could light up any room. She had a genuine love for family and friends, often spending time with them during holidays, cookouts, and shopping trips. Her thoughtful calls were a testament to the love she felt and shared with all. Kristie dedicated her professional life to her work at Milestones of Conway, where she served with dedication and compassion. She was also an active member of Williams Memorial Temple under the leadership of Bishop Mickey D. Lofton, where her faith and fellowship were sources of inspiration and strength. A celebration of Kristie's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Hicks Funeral Home in Hope, AR. Friends and family will gather to honor her memory, with a service that reflects the love and joy she brought into the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in remembrance of Kristie's generous spirit and her lifelong dedication to helping others. As we bid farewell to Kristie Vonee Harris, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and light. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, support, and kindness shown during this time of grief. Your presence and love have brought comfort and peace.
