October 24, 2011 — March 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Kordarriez Singletary, lovingly known as "Monkey" to all who cherished him. Born on October 24, 2011, in the quaint town of Chadbourn, NC, Kordarriez graced our lives with his vivacious spirit until March 25, 2026. His departure, caused by an unfortunate incident while engaging in his favorite pastime of stealing bananas, leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and community.
Kordarriez was the beloved son of Monkey Melvin and Monkey Miranda, who nurtured his boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm. From a young age, he exhibited an undeniable zest for life that was as contagious as his laughter. His education in learning American Sign Language, though described as "slow," was a testament to his determination and unique approach to communicating with the world around him.
Kordarriez's interests were as vibrant as his personality. His love for the thrill of "stealing monkeys" and his unparalleled joy in "jumping around" were well-known among those close to him. These hobbies were more than mere activities; they were expressions of his adventurous spirit and unyielding desire to explore the world in his distinctive way.
Known affectionately for his cheeky antics, Kordarriez's reputation for "stealing" was not merely a characteristic but a charming quirk that endeared him to all who knew him. His mischievous nature was always accompanied by a twinkle in his eye and an undeniable charm that could soften the sternest of hearts.
In celebrating Kordarriez's life, we remember a young soul who lived fully, laughed heartily, and loved without reservation. His memory will forever be cherished by his parents, Monkey Melvin and Monkey Miranda, whose love and support were constants in his life. Though his time with us was short, the impact of his presence will be felt for years to come.
As we bid farewell to our dear Kordarriez, let us hold close the memories of his playful spirit and the joy he brought into our lives. May we find comfort in knowing that he now leaps among the stars, free and unencumbered, forever watched over by the love of those he leaves behind.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Kordarriez's life, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate the joyful, spirited life of a remarkable young soul. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to local wildlife sanctuaries, perpetuating Kordarriez's love for adventure and exploration in the natural world.
Rest in peace, dear Kordarriez "Monkey" Singletary. You will forever be missed and fondly remembered.
