In loving memory of Konstantinos "Gus" Geroulis, who passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife Kathy and his sister, Stacey. Born on May 24, 1944, in the picturesque village of Steno, Tripolis, Greece, Gus lived a life marked by love, adventure, and an indomitable spirit. Gus's journey began in the rustic beauty of Greece, where he completed his education before embarking on a new chapter in the United States in 1969. Joining his sisters Mary, Georgia, and Stacey, Gus brought with him not only the warmth of his homeland but also his unwavering determination and a heart full of dreams. It was in this same year, in the serene setting of Steno, that he married the love of his life, Kathy Gargalionis, beginning a beautiful union that would span 57 years. Together, they settled in the Indianapolis area, cultivating a life rich with love, family, and community. A proud veteran, Gus served in the US Army from 1969 to 1972, a testament to his dedication and patriotism. After his military service, Gus's entrepreneurial spirit flourished. He successfully operated several businesses, including a nickel-plating business, a tailor shop, and most notably, the cherished Acropolis restaurant. For nearly 30 years, Gus and Kathy welcomed patrons like family, serving delicious meals seasoned with love and laughter. Gus was a man of many talents and interests. His garden was a testament to his nurturing nature, a place where he found peace and joy. Later in life, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, Demetrios and Carrie’s son, Alex, and Nikos and Tracey’s daughter, Elena, and step-granddaughter, Alayna. Vacations to the beach and Greece were treasured times, filled with laughter and the creation of lifelong memories. Known for his infectious smile and a knack for finding a good bargain, Gus was a friend to all. His wisdom and willingness to lend a hand were gifts to those around him, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity. He made friends wherever he went, each interaction leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Gus is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Mary Kostarides, Spiros Geroulis, Georgia Derziotis, and George Geroulis. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Kathy, his sons Demetrios (Carrie) and Nikos (Tracey), and his cherished grandchildren Alex, Elena, and Alayna. His sister Stacey Apostoles, along with several grand nieces and nephews, will continue to honor his memory and carry forward his legacy of love and resilience. As we bid farewell to Gus, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many with its warmth and grace. His legacy will forever be cherished, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Gus, knowing that you are forever loved and remembered.
