In Loving Memory
Kirk Kelly
November 14, 1963 — March 8, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Kirk Kelly, on March 8, 2026, at his beloved home. Born on November 14, 1963, in the vibrant land of Belize, Kirk brought light and laughter into the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was 62 years old.
Kirk was the cherished son of Ernest and Enell, who instilled in him values of resilience and joy that he carried throughout his life. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Pishon Kelly, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Together with Carolyn, his partner of 15 years, Kirk found joy in raising their beautiful daughter, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love.
Kirk served his country with pride as a member of the Navy. His time in the service was marked by dedication and the same light-hearted spirit that he brought to every aspect of his life. After his service, he embraced civilian life with a passion for basketball, video games, and skating—hobbies that kept his youthful spirit alive and kicking.
To those who knew him, Kirk was a beacon of humor and light. He possessed a funny sense of humor that could lift the spirits of anyone, even in the darkest of times. He believed firmly that there was lightning in the darkness, and he dedicated his life to spreading this belief to others. His joyful demeanor was a testament to his inner strength and his ability to face silent battles with grace and courage.
Kirk is survived by his beloved daughter, Pishon Kelly, and his two brothers, Ernest Kelly and Jefferson Flowers, who will continue to cherish his memory. His family, who were central to his life, will forever remember him for his warmth, his laughter, and his unwavering love.
A memorial service to honor Kirk's life will be held on March 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mickey's SunSet Funeral Services, located at 1879 Amsterdam Avenue. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Kirk are invited to join in celebrating the incredible life of a man who brought so much joy to the world.
As we say goodbye to Kirk, his family wishes to share a special message: "May he finally rest in peace." Though he will be dearly missed, we take solace in knowing that his light and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he left behind.
In remembrance of Kirk Kelly, let us honor his legacy by spreading joy and laughter, just as he did every day of his life.
