It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved King Taylor, who departed this world on May 5, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on October 5, 1950, in St. Louis, King graced every life he touched with warmth, kindness, and an indomitable spirit. King was the cherished son of the late Sidney and Jessie Taylor, whose loving presence was a guiding light throughout his life. He is predeceased by his dear parents and his brother, Sidney Taylor, whom he always held close in his heart. For over four decades, King shared a beautiful life with his adoring wife, Doris Taylor. Their marriage of 40 years was a testament to enduring love and unwavering partnership. Together, they created a family filled with love and laughter, raising two wonderful children, Jason Taylor and Latoya Taylor, who were the pride and joy of King’s life. King was a devoted grandfather to two grandsons, Jakson Taylor and Mario Taylor, who brought immense happiness and fulfillment to his later years. He delighted in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them. King also held a special place in his heart for his extended family, including his nephew Sidney Taylor III, and nephews Justin Taylor, Jarvis Taylor, and Shaun Taylor, each of whom shared in the warmth of his affection and guidance. King's life was a tapestry of love, family, and community. He was known for his gentle demeanor, his infectious smile, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. His legacy is one of compassion, humility, and an unyielding dedication to the well-being of his family and friends. A celebration of King’s remarkable life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Serenity Memorial Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 1905 Union Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63113.
