March 9, 1967 — September 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Kimberly "Kim" Musser, who left this world on September 3, 2026, in the comfort of her home, lovingly embraced by her eldest daughter and sister. Born on March 9, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kim was a beacon of joy and warmth to everyone she encountered. Kim was the cherished daughter of the late Barbara Daniels and Clifford Swezey. She is survived by her beloved children, Taylor Hurley, Melanie Musser, and Emily, and her precious grandson, Colton Wroblewski. She will forever be remembered by her devoted siblings, Colleen Swezey and Clifford (Bonnie) Swezey, as well as by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Kim's circle of friends, who became family over the years, will miss her dearly. Throughout her life, Kim was blessed with love and companionship in her marriages. Her first marriage to Brian Hurley lasted 18 years and brought her immense joy, as did her subsequent four-year marriage to James Musser. Her family was her greatest treasure and source of pride. Kim's career as a waitress showcased her remarkable ability to connect with others. Her radiant personality drew people in, with many loyal customers following her from one restaurant to another. She had a natural gift for making everyone feel special, a trait that earned her the affectionate nickname of "the mayor of our town." She even had the pleasure of serving celebrities such as Rachel McAdams. Known for her involvement in her community, Kim was a dedicated PTA mom, a coach, an enthusiastic member of bowling leagues, and a gracious host for gatherings. She loved attending candle and chef parties, relishing the chance to support and celebrate with those she loved. Her passion for music was a constant in her life, whether she was singing, dancing, or simply humming along. She was a fervent supporter of Chicago sports and cheered just as passionately for her Philadelphia Eagles. Kim's laughter was contagious, and her heart was as warm as it was generous. She had an extraordinary ability to light up a room, making every moment spent with her memorable and cherished. Her unique spirit and unyielding kindness made her truly one of a kind. A service to celebrate Kim's life will be held on November 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the American Legion, located at 17423 67th Ct., Tinley Park, IL 60477. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Kim's honor. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at Hudson Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness. Their dedication and compassion made Kim's final days truly special, treating her with the dignity and love she so richly deserved. Kim will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
