July 10, 1962 — October 12, 2025

With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we share the passing of Kimberly Dawn Stephens, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Kimberly, affectionately known as Kim, peacefully left this world on October 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was 63 years old. Born on July 10, 1962, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Kim was the beloved daughter of Dwight Edward Stephens and Judith Ann Stephens, who predeceased her. Her upbringing was filled with warmth and love, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to family and friendship. Throughout her career, Kim excelled in management, where her professionalism and kindness left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike. Her work ethic and leadership were admired and respected by all who had the privilege to work alongside her. Beyond her professional life, Kim's heart was always drawn to the simple joys that brought her closer to her loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends, whether it was sharing laughter over a meal or planning her next adventure. Kim had an unyielding love for the sea, often embarking on cruises that took her to distant shores, where she found tranquility and joy. The beach was her sanctuary, a place where she could relax and immerse herself in the beauty of nature. Kim's legacy lives on through her devoted family, who will forever treasure her memory. She is survived by her loving daughter, Courtney Lopez, and her husband, Tim, who provided her with enduring support and affection. Her sister, Kerri Cascio, and her wife, Mandy Baker, along with her brother, Michael Stephens, and his wife, Jenny, will continue to hold her close in their hearts. Kim's grandson, Riley Lopez, and his partner, McCyla, brought her immense pride and happiness, as did her niece, Kailee Ackley, and her nephew, Jack Stephens. The family lineage extends further through her great-nephew, Preston Ackley, and her great-granddaughter, Amara, who brought laughter and light into her life. Kimberly Dawn Stephens will be remembered as a guiding light, whose love and spirit touched everyone in her orbit. Her infectious laughter, gentle wisdom, and unwavering kindness will be dearly missed but never forgotten. As we celebrate Kim's remarkable life, we invite family and friends to join us in honoring her memory at a memorial service to be held later this month. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Kim's name, as a testament to her generous and caring spirit. Though she has left this earthly realm, Kim's essence will forever linger in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy of love continue to inspire us all.
