Celebrating the Life of Kimberly Ann Risdon Kimberly Ann Risdon, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on November 11, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her life has been a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and dedication to her family, friends and community. Kim fought a hard battle for five years and her faith and closeness she had in Jesus Christ helped her manage along the way. She loved flower gardening and all the bbq cookouts. She enjoyed all the vacations to Costa Rica, Florida, Surfside Beach TX, Texas Hill Country and Oklahoma. Kimberly was the cherished daughter of Betty and Jerry Matheson, with the guiding influence of her biological father, Roger Brannon. Her upbringing in Edmond, OK instilled in her a strong sense of family and commitment, which she carried throughout her life. An alumna of Edmond Memorial High School, Kimberly graduated in 1977, laying the foundation for a lifetime of caring for others. In 2000, Kimberly pursued her calling by earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from Palo Alto College. Her career as a nurse was marked by an unwavering devotion to her patients. Her gentle touch and kind words provided comfort and healing to countless individuals, reflecting her nurturing spirit. Kimberly’s heart was made complete when she married Daniel Risdon. Together, they shared 25 years of love and partnership, building a home filled with warmth and laughter. Her children, Jennifer Holland and Josh Crowder, were the pride of her life, and she embraced her role as a mother with boundless love and encouragement. As a grandmother, Kimberly adored her grandchildren, and took immense joy in watching them grow. Her legacy of love extends even further to her 8 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy and pride. Kimberly is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel, her beloved children, Jennifer and Josh, and her treasured siblings, Keith and Kristi Matheson. Her close friend, Robin Frierson, remains a testament to the deep bonds of friendship Kimberly nurtured throughout her life. Preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Jerry Matheson, and Roger Brannon, Kimberly’s legacy lives on through the lives of those she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire her family and friends to live with the same grace and kindness she exemplified every day. Kimberly’s life is a testament to the power of love and care. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
