Kimberley Annette Olmos

Kimberley Annette Olmos, born September 19, 1965, in Wiesbaden, Germany, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, in Tyler, Texas, while receiving hospice care. Kimberley was a woman who loved deeply and treasured her family above all else. She was a loving mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Her family was her greatest joy, and the love she gave to those around her will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Kimberley’s faith in God was a cherished and deeply rooted part of her life. She loved her Lord and Savior and longed for the day she would be in His presence. Through her faith, she found comfort and hope, and she looked forward to the day she could finally meet God face to face and be reunited with her beloved husband, Richard. Kimberley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Olmos, and her mother, Patricia Kos. Richard was the love of her life, and his passing five years ago left an emptiness in her heart. She loved and missed him dearly and longed for the day they would be together again. Now, after years of longing, she is home—with her Savior and with the love of her life. Kimberley leaves behind her father, Dennis Kos; her sisters, Tracy Ditta and her husband, Joseph Ditta, and Christine Marks and her husband, Bert Marks; and her children, Nicholas Wright and his wife, Cristy Wright; Danielle Nordstrom; Lauren Olmos; and Ryan Olmos and his wife, Ireland Brey. She is also survived by her stepchildren and bonus children, Richard Lee Olmos; Christy Olmos Montolvo and her husband, Jose Montolvo; and Stephanie Olmos Benefield and her husband, Aaron Benefield. Kimberley was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved very, very much. They brought tremendous joy to her life, and the memories and love she shared with them will remain in their hearts forever. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews. Among the special people in Kimberley’s life was her best friend, Kathy Jackson, whom she had known since childhood. Their lifelong friendship was filled with memories, love, and a bond that stood the test of time. Kimberley also shared a very special family bond with Lenny and Janette Allen, her “brother and sister from another mother and mister.” Together, they were co-parents who helped build a lifetime of love, care, and support around all of the children. Their bond was one of chosen family, and their love was an important part of Kimberley’s life. Kimberley enjoyed the simple things that brought her happiness. She loved Mexican food, going to the beach, shopping, and spending time with the people she loved. She also had a special love for animals, especially cats and dogs. Kimberley will be remembered for the love she poured into her family, the connections she made throughout her life, her unwavering faith, and the many memories she created with the people who 1 mattered most to her. Though her absence leaves an enormous space in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, her love will continue through her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Rest peacefully, Kimberley. After five long years of missing the love of your life, you are finally home. You are with your Lord and Savior, you have finally met God face to face, and you are reunited with Richard. You will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Kim's Childhood Kim's childhood was filled with family, laughter, adventure, music, and a love for the beach. As the big sister to Tracy and Christine, she enjoyed summers filled with trips to Colorado and Nebraska, church camp, and weekends with Nana and Pawpaw in Freeport. She loved singing in choir, riding Pawpaw's moped, and picking blackberries together. She loved deeply and always ended every phone call with, "I love you." That love will remain one of the many beautiful things her family will carry with them always.
